DIRECTIONS: 

COMING FROM CAPE TOWN DIRECTION:

We are 23kms from the Swellendam East entrance if coming from the Cape Town direction. 

Please do not take the Barrydale/Suurbraak turn to the left at 11 kms from Swellendam ! (R324 DON'T !)

Keep going for another 11 kms and you will get the second Suurbraak sign which will say SUURBRAAK/NIEKERKSHEK.Turn left there.  Proceed for 600 meters and turn right at the second house. Keep left for 1.8kms and look for a solitary post on the left that has been painted yellow on top and our  sign "Bare Necessities)

Right there, turn right and follow the track through a black gate, past the white house with swimming pool and the road ends at Bare Necessities.

For the GPS guys, we have had several guests ending up on the farm over the river where they can see us but cannot reach us. When checking we find our co-ordinates above are accurate so make sure you at least get to the Niekerkshek/Suurbraak sign on the N2.

GEORGE TO CAPETOWN DIRECTION:

Do not take any Suurbraak signs off the N2 until you are approximately 29 kms away from Heidelberg and then take the Suurbraak/Niekerkshek road to the right for 600 meters and right at the second house for 1.8 kms. then as above.
